Locals Competition and Group Classes

Group Classes

Learn the fundamentals of volleyball in a fun environment. Develop the skills of serving, passing, movement, attacking, and communication. This is a great venue for new and young players to explore volleyball or level-up from city recreation classes. Ignite Group Classes recur monthly and run throughout the year. Choose midweek classes (2x/week) and/or Saturday classes (1x/week).  

Cost is between $75-$185/mo.

  • Level 1: 8-12 years of age (beginning)
  • Level 2: 12-14 years or intermediate 11-12 year olds
  • Level 3: 15-18 years or intermediate 13-14 year olds

Locals Competition

Ignite's Locals Program allows players to train AND compete. Training is weekly on Saturdays and lasts approximately 2 hours. Competition is once a month against clubs or programs within 20-30 minutes of Ignite. It's a great way to experience team practices and team chemistry. 

  • Locals-Spark: 11-12 years old; beginners
  • Locals-Flame: 13-14 years; intermediate
  • Locals-Blaze: 14-18 years; intermediate/advanced

Costs

Pick the volleyball program that suits your time, determination, and budget

Group Classes: Saturday

$75-90/mo.

Once a week training on Saturdays for one hour. Level 1 and Level 2 classes are available.

Group Classes: Midweek

$150-180/mo.

Train twice per week for an hour each session. Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 classes are available.

Locals: Spark, Flame, Blaze

$250/mo.

Train two hours on Saturdays and play once a month against local competition. Commitments are two or three-month sessions.

  • Learn serving, passing, setting, attacking and defense skills
  • Introduction to specific positions like OH, MB, Opp, S, Libero/DS.
  • Team dynamics emphasized
  • Local competition against other clubs
  • Stay with your team for 2 months at a time.
  • Program renews every two months

Locals Rec Program

Locals is a bridge between group classes and club volleyball: more team structure, more volleyball IQ, and more competition without the full club-season commitment.

Spark

For players ages 10–12, typically 4th–6th grade.

Heat

For beginner players ages 12–14, typically 6th–8th grade.

Fire

For intermediate players ages 12–14, typically 7th–8th grade.

Ember

For beginner/intermediate players ages 12–14, typically 6th–8th grade.

Blaze

For intermediate players ages 14–18, typically 9th–12th grade.

Session format

Players practice once per week and compete 2–3 times per session against other Locals teams.

Locals practices

Locals practices are structured similarly to club practices, with skill development in the first half and game play in the second half.

  • Spark: Saturday 10:00am–12:00pm
  • Heat: Saturday 12:00pm–2:00pm
  • Blaze: Saturday 2:00pm–4:00pm
  • Fire: Saturday 2:00pm–4:00pm
  • Ember: Saturday 2:00pm–4:00pm

Locals pricing

Annual registration and uniform fee: $75

Monthly fee: $275 per month. Families can choose monthly payments or pay in full at checkout.

Three-month total: $825 plus the one-time registration/uniform fee. New members total $900; returning members total $825.
