About Us

Our Story

Paul and Cheri Thé started Ignite as an afterschool youth program at their church. With enthusiastic interest from the community, it became clear that Ignite could create a positive coaching environment that trains great players and develops the character needed to excel on the court and in life.

Starting in 2013 with their own seed money and hosting clinics and a couple club teams, Ignite has steadily grown over the past decade to over 30 teams, a locals program, year-round classes, a full summer program, position clinics, and private lessons. Last year alone, our coaches provided over 1000 lessons to help players reach their volleyball goals. Ignite sees over 450 different players each week throughout their programs. Over the years, their coaching staff has included collegiate and high school coaches, with over 45 club players continuing on to play collegiate NCAA, NAIA, and Junior College volleyball.

Ignite's philosophy has always been to create the best gym culture, which fosters sportsmanship, hard work, team reliance, and a positive coaching approach, ultimately valuing each person that walks into our gym.

2013

Ignite begins as a 501(c)3 organization, dedicated to the healthy development of athletes. Their first practice location is a church fellowship hall

2016

Ignite begins summer camp programs

2018

Ignite partners with Mizuno as their official outfitter of uniforms, shoes, and gear.

2021

Ignite begins boys club volleyball program

2026

Ignite continues to move up in rankings, earning 7 bids to Junior Nationals.

2014

Ignite leases their first facility and begins competing with three teams in club competitions.

2017

Ignite partners with Gold Medal Squared and begins incorporating principles and keys with all programs.

2020

Ignite grows to 14 club teams and moves to a larger facility with over 300 players attending weekly practices and clinics

2024

Ignite grows to over 26 club teams and three local teams, with approximately 450 players attending per week

Ignite Volleyball Club is such an amazing place! From the directors to the coaches to the players and the parents, I have had nothing but a positive experience at Ignite. They truly care about the players and their development on and off the court! Joining Ignite after having a poor experience at another club, I know without a doubt that I have found my home to spend my last two years at before hopefully playing at the collegiate level.
