SCVA MASK MANDATE

FROM THE SCVA RE: TOURNAMENTS POSTED 12/14/2021

To Club Directors, Coaches, Officials, Athletes, and Spectators,
As many of you are already aware, the COVID-19 numbers are back on the rise in California. Therefore, Governor Gavin Newsom has put into place a mask mandate for the next four weeks, starting on Wednesday, December 15. Moving forward, the SCVA is going to have to require that all coaches, officials, spectators, and staff be required to wear masks at all times unless actively eating or drinking. For the athletes, the SCVA is going to require masks at all times unless actively competing on the court. Due to the fact that this is a private event held at private venues, if an individual refuses to follow this mandate he/she/they will be asked to leave the venue. If there are any further issues, unfortunately, the site director will have to ask the team associated with the individual to leave. This new mandate will be in effect for tournament dates on December 18th-19th and January 8th-9th. Please distribute and notify all of your families.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this time,

The SCVA
